Dearest Teaching Colleagues:
We’re thinking of you these days. What brings us special joy is knowing that we’ll get to see so many of you at the National Council of Teachers of English Annual Convention (NCTE 2017) in November. Thousands of smart, brave, curious teachers gathered in one place—and all for the good of their students and communities! This is going to be a blast, and more: it’s going to be a force of hope and joy in this world.
In the next few weeks, along with posting lessons from our CrossTalk curriculum packet, we’ll be announcing some big plans for this year’s NCTE conference, including invitations for YOU to connect us with there.
So, just to get us all jazzed for what’s to come, we thought we’d share some highlights from what the Folger@NCTE teaching hive has been up to in recent years. Enjoy, and follow us on Twitter (@FolgerED) for more info! Will we see you in St. Louis? (We hope so.)
