A new school year is underway! As always, you’re doing the most important work on earth. As always, we’re with you. And we’re getting ready to share a whole new wave of support for you and your classrooms. Exciting stuff! Stay tuned.
What’s in store for the Folger teaching family, including YOU? Where have we been, and where are we going together?
We’ll be back next week with some new lesson plans for having difficult conversations in class, all rooted in students’ experiences with literature and the humanities, but for now, let’s just take a moment to look back on last year. We’ve put together a sampling of photos from all kinds of 2016-17 teaching and learning adventures: the Teaching Shakespeare Institute and Summer Academy, both summer programs for teachers; our student Shakespeare festivals; the NCTE convention in Atlanta; our partnership with DC Public Schools; our work with New Jersey teachers through the Geraldine Dodge Foundation; our high school programs here in DC; our professional development workshops at English departments across the country; and more.
Check you out! And stay close to us for an even bigger year of teaching and learning together!
